One of my favorite shows is Top Chef. I admit it, I have been watching every minute of it and catching all the extras at the website.
This week the guest Chef was Rick Bayless. Not only did Rick Bayless has the chefs to create a gourmet taco but to create a full block party menu out of items from peoples homes.
If you love to cook then you probably know that Rick Bayless is know for reviving the love for authentic Mexican cooking . His restaurants Frontera Grill and Topolobamp remain to be the hot spots of the area. Rick Bayless has won several awards and have had write ups in several major social magazines.
We know that Rick Bayless is a wonderful Chef but is he walking in love filled shoes? Farmers that have been helped by The Frontera Farmer Foundation call out a resounding “yes”!
The Frontera Farmer Foundation is a nonprofit that promotes small farms in the Chicago area by providing capital grants. The Beard Foundation has also honored Rick Bayless as “Humanitarian of the Year.”
If you would like to know more about The Frontera Farmer Foundation or make a donation please visit their informative website.
When Rick does have time from his busy schedule he loves answering fans questions on his own blog.

Lately I have been talking a lot about my weight loss and TLC/Paul McKenna I can make you thin. The weight loss is very important to me because it will allow me energy to volunteer more time at local non-profit organizations.
I’m able to do two miles today at a very slow pace. My goal is to still walk the 3 day walk for a cure in 2009, 2010, 2011 and for the rest of my life. If I’m unable to do the walk, I’m going to do my best to donate as much money as possible.
The addition to Love Filled Shoes will be media and their organizations. Donald Trumps Celebrity Apprentice really opened my eyes to pseudo-reality television and celebrities.
Usually the media feeds viewers with drama and negativity. It’s my hope to point out the celebrities that are well walking in Love Filled Shoes. Yes, I promise this site to not be filled with Brangelina.
With talking about celebrities, sports figures, and the media. It’s my hope that you’ll find an organization or fight that will catch your interest.
Even if your only able to do something that you consider small at least your doing something. Don’t ever think that the things you do have no value. We are all have value in the world today.

I’m suppose to press my fingers together and do what? Visualize nasty stuff on top of the foods that I crave? Negative association is the key you say? I just don’t believe it.
I have to admit that I agree with a lot of what Paul McKenna has said. That’s until his TLC show came on last night. We’ve had so much negative association with foods as dieters and now we’re suppose to pile other negativity on top of it.?
How about learning what is exactly in the foods that American’s are eating. Do you know what corn syrup actually looks like? If you have seen the commercials for Juicy Juicy then you would know what I mean. That stuff looks absolutely horrible and it’s in almost everything.
I’ve stated this before but I think that we need to start treating our bodies like living machines. You wouldn’t put the worst oil and gasoline that you could buy for a $60,000. So why should the human body be any different.
Sorry Paul, I love your personality but I just don’t agree with you on this one.

April measurements are finally done. They are written for the world to see. I’m still a little frustrated that I’m unable to get a weight on the scale that we bought.
The measurements are going down! In the hip area too. I figure as long as my measurements are shrinking and I’m fitting into smaller clothes than I’m in the green. I haven’t dropped an outfit size yet but I’m still working on it.
There is a lot that I would like to accomplish this month. Every ounce of me says that I’m going to achieve them even though some are not under my control.

Happy Sunday everyone! We’ve made it through another week or we’re starting a new week depending on how you look at your week. It looks like everyone is interested in Paul McKenna. Here are this week top posts.
Ancient Chinese Secrets
A post to that Paul McKenna is actually using the pressure points that believers of eastern medicine have been using for ages.
More on pressure points
A little talk about what pressure points are actually doing in your body and more tips for weight loss.
Deal with the issues
The fact that all the pressure points in the world will not do away with the issues that people deal with in their daily lives. When we do something about these emotions they no longer effect our lives.
Is he really a rehasher?
Is Paul McKenna just rehashing information from Eastern Medicine and what the weight loss industry has been saying all of our lives?
Listen to yourself
To know if we are actually hunger or full we have to listen to our bodies. Here are some tools that help us do that.

I honestly can’t believe that it is Friday already. Two more days and I’ll be posting the results of my walking and eating. Hopefully the scale and measurements will show how much I have been working out. If not then it’s more work next week.
I was able to fit into a size 3x pair of pants. The only problem is that the material was really stretchy. I know that there is no way that I could fit into a pair of 3x jeans. I would have had to lose a total of 14 inches on my hips. I know that I haven’t done that.
Sunday is another Paul McKenna “I can make you thin” on TLC. I get a giggle whenever I see that title. It’s really not Paul McKenna making you thin. It’s Paul McKenna giving you tools to use to that you can make yourself thin.
This weeks show is about positive association. I guess Paul McKenna is going to show us how to place positive associations towards exercise and eating healthy. All I can say is that I need this weeks show. I absolutely hate exercise unless it’s a team sport or dancing.
Yup the weight training, walking, lone swimmer, lone runner is not me.

I’ve been pushing and pushing for a way to volunteer my time at local non-profit organizations. Most people that P.U.S.H means Pray Until Something Happens. Or it could mean Patience Until Something Happens. I confess that I have been praying but my patience has been running a little thin.
When I boil the reason down my patience is running then because I want to get out there and help people. My only problem is that I can’t do anything without transportation money and our budget is really tight right now.
So I keep the goal of volunteering 8 hours a day until I get employment deep in my heart till it is actually happening. If your an organization that can have me do something at home like make phone calls, stuff envelopes, type emails then I’m all for it.
I’m also able to help virtually. If you need some help with your organization in Second Life feel free to send me an email or leave a comment.

I’ve been replaying Paul McKenna videos and information through my head over and over again. I find myself asking if he’s a farse just rehashing information that has been told to people time and time again.
-
Put the fork down
-
Eat without distraction
-
Eat only when hungry
-
Drink a large glass of water first
-
Ask yourself if your really hungery or if you want to change how you feel
-
Eat what you want, just in smaller amounts
These are all things I remember hearing from the diet groups when I was a teen and that was 15+ years ago. If your losing weight with Paul McKenna’s program. If tapping is actually helping you with issues then more power to you.
I’ll be watching the show to reaffirm information that I probably already know. I’ll be watching to see if there might be some new information that I do not know about but I doubt it.

Though hitting those pressure points on my body have helped with boredom and emotional eating, I have to agree with Mycrocosmos about the fact that Paul McKenna has not shown people how to actually deal with the actual emotional issues that cause people to emotionally eat.
Yes, the tapping on the pressure points allow people a moment to think but the emotional issues are still going to be there. The same moment can also b4e found with
If issues go deeper than boredom eating than I would suggest seeking out someone to talk to professionally.
It’s going to be interesting to see what Paul McKenna has on TLC next week. I wonder what words of wisdom he’ll be speaking to the audiance when the subject is on “Busting Your Cravings”

I’m the type of person that feels that I really shouldn’t be talking about something unless I am doing it myself or have done it in the pass. I have to say that the pressure points that Paul McKenna showed us last night are really helping.
I accomplished a 2.5 mile walk today. Normally I would be berating myself because I think I didn’t walk fast enough, long enough, or hard enough. What can I say I have a case of “Perfectionism.”
When I tap on the pressure points that Paul McKenna has shown us, I am about to think about the situation and turn the negativity around. Though I’m not perfect, I am improving.
That’s all I have to say for now. It’s been a long day of telephone calls, research, and physical stress. It’s time to rest the body. So remember that you are never going to be pefect but you are improving and you can be the best that you can possibly be.
Since we’re on the subject of pressure points, energy, and weight loss. There are other things that can help with curbing the appitite. Believers of Feng Sui and Chi have used the color blue to help with appitite control.
Many believe that the color blue causes tranquility in a person. Hence people are able to relax and enjoy thier meal.
Other suggestions would to keep bottled water in eye contact of where you have your meals or in your kitchen. Also display fresh herbs and fruits because the color green is know to promote health.
On the other hand colors like yellow, red, and orange are to be avoided because they are believed to increase the appitite. All we have to do is look at a fast food location to understand that.
