“Life will be so much better after I lose the weight.” I’ve read this and have heard this so many times. I’ve even said it myself before. I think that those of us that do have this concept in our head have to take a step back and look at reality.
Weight loss doesn’t solve everything but it sure does help the situations that we are in. It’s the hard honest truth that weight loss is not going to change our job situation, our career advancement, our marriage, our family life, and all our ailments.
We can use the thought to our advantage. We can use it as a motivator. Sure weight loss and better health is not going to solve everything but it is going to make life easier. Weight loss will give us more energy to tackle our daily lives.
For example I’ll be able to:
-
Sleep better and have more energy
-
Lug less weight going from job to college classes to home
-
Find less expensive clothing at the salvation army and save money
-
Use less energy for my body and more for brain power
-
Be less self conscience out in public
-
Try new sports and have full mobility of my body
-
Not have scars on my legs because of bad circulation
-
Be able to walk for 3 days to raise money for a cure
Now that’s a nice list to keep myself motivated to lose the 200+ pounds and train for the 3 day walk in 2009.

I was finally able to finish God of War. Yes, I know I’m behind the times because there is already a II and possibly a III. All I can say is OMG I would not let my child, if I had one, play that game.
Of course we all know that kids everywhere are able to get their hands on the game. What is with the five points of red energy weapon upgrade for having sex on your ship? Definitely for adults!
With that said, I have to say that I really enjoyed the game. Sure it gave me the ability to beat up on some people and take my frustrations out on something that’s not real or will not put me in prison but I also love it for the graphics.
If you haven’t played God of War yet, find the game, borrow it, rent it, buy it, whatever you do just play it.

It was an average day today. I spent the day waiting for my G.A. advisor to call me. There’s still a glitch with the county computer system. So it’s no food stamps till Monday. I also spent the day looking for work and getting really frustated because I can see peoples thoughts on their faces as clear as day.
It’s like they are all chanting “We will not hire a 400 pound woman.” I keep trying though. I know one day someone will stop slamming the door on my foot and let me work for them. Or enough time will have past that I’ve
-
Lost a large amount of weight
-
Volunteered enough time at our local county animal shelter
-
Passed my animal breed test
-
Passed my animal condition test
-
Obtained my uthinesia certification
-
Been hired by a local animal shelter, animal sanctuary, or vet clinic
Unfortunately the day ended with me judging my present health condition with my past health condition. I just hate the fact that I use to be able walk 2 miles to work, work eight hours, and then walk 2 miles home. Now I have a hard time walking just 2 miles and standing for an hour.
I use to be a walking Queen when I was 19. I use to walk from my apartment in Hollywood, California up Western Avenue to work at Pier One for 8 hours and then walk back home.
I know, I have to think positive. I have to walk in love filled shoes. I know eventually I’ll be able to do the above again. I know that I will be able work or volunteer at an animal shelter.
Plus with the fact about food. The lovely people at Sacred Heart gave Mike and I a box of food and some other stuff. Then a friend came over and brought us hamburger patties, cup of noodles, and some other stuff to share when he comes over during the week.
