I received a telephone call this afternoon saying that they are going to manually issue food stamps to me because of an interesting computer glitch. Now my case falls again because of human error. The fingerprinting rep has to have me come in again because my picture got issued to another person and social security number.
This is why so many people get angry at county offices. If a business made a mistake there would be money to be payed. For the county its just an inconvience for people who need the benefits.
This is why my husband and I tried our hardest to stay off of county benefits. Even when I asked if everything was ok and got a snotty attitude about it, something ended up wrong because of human error. Week one I was ok with it but at the end of week two I’m getting a little angry.
As God as my witness, once I obtain a job I’m staying off of county aid. I don’t care if I have to work two jobs and sell lemonaide on the corner. I’m not going back on county aid ever again.

I’ve really been looking into Paul McKenna’s work in the U.K. and Europe. When he’s not on U.S. National television he’s helping people with all kinds of affairs of their life.
Paul McKenna has everything from books, dvd’s, and CD’s for every phobia in the world. I’ve been looking over the phobias and I have to say that I have empathy for those who have to deal with these things every day.
One of Paul McKenna’s concepts I believe is to just take it day by day. This is nothing new to the world because people have been doing it for years. Let’s see AA, OA, NA, Anthony Robbins, and even Ralph Waldo Emerson.
We hear it all the time but I think we forget to put it into practice. I know that I do. I put it on my “To Do” List and it doesn’t get done. Another concept that I believe goes along with taking one day at a time is planning. Really how are people going to acheive anything if they don’t plan the steps that they are going to take each day, myself included.
So if your on a training goal like I am or a weight loss goal as I am. Do a little planning and take everything one day at a time. If 24 hours is too long then take things one meal at a time.
Another thing that I have to plan for and take one day at a time is my career. At the moment I don’t have one and it’s at a standstill. I’d like to own a business that allows me to travel around the world one day.
I guess you can say that I’m in the planning stages which I’m still taking one step at a time. There is a lot of aspects that go into planning a career that includes losing this weight. Can we say there is no way in heck that I’m going to pay double for my airline seat for extra body weight.
So here are the steps that I’m going to need to take
-
Eat what I want but plan healthy meals
-
Get some exercise every day (Walking, Swimming, Volleyball)
-
Update resume
-
Improve my cover letter writing skills
-
Research business costs
-
Obtain employment
-
Pay off bills (Improve credit score)
-
Enroll in design classes
-
Work on designs
-
Spend time each day with husband and family
